Larry Abramson / Erez Golan
December 5, 2022 - January 5, 2023

Gallery Paule Anglim is pleased to announce two exhibitions: new paintings by Larry Abramson and new photography by Erez Golan.

Larry Abramson
Larry Abramson will present a series of oil and acrylic works on canvas. His paintings are thematically rooted in science and religion. Images of the body (with references to biology) and of the moon (referencing astrology) are incorporated in otherwise abstract, painterly compositions. The artist relates these iconic shapes to archetypes from the Bible and mythology. Abramson has worked in Israel since the 1970's, exhibiting in Israel, New York, Boston and Los Angeles.

This will be the artist's second show in San Francisco.

Erez Golan
Born in Israel in 1972, Erez Golan has already exhibited his photography widely in his native land. Living and working in San Francisco, he recently completed his MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute after receiving his BFA from the Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem and the School of Visual Arts in New York. He will present a group of large format color prints emphasizing exacting detail within a panoramic landscape. His photographs seem to convey more depth and information than normal visual perception would allow.

A reception for the two artists will take place on Thursday, December 6th, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, at Gallery Paule Anglim.

Note: The gallery will be closed for the Holidays from December 24th through January 1st.
