Women Artists: Their Work and Influence, 1950's to 70's

Gallery Paule Anglim is pleased to announce an exhibition of works by Women

Artists who have made a profound impact on the post-war art scene. Focusing on works in all media produced from the fifties to the seventies, the exhibition recognizes the historical importance of these women and is a tribute to their influence and inspiration.

The gallery will present works by Eleanor Antin, Ida Applebroog, Diane Arbus, Jo Baer, Lynda Benglis, Ruth Bernhard, Lee Bontecou, Louise Bourgeois, Joan Brown, Vija Celmins, Hanne Darboven, Jay DeFeo, Eva Hesse, Adaline Kent, Lee Krasner, Yayoi Kusama, Agnes Martin, Ana Mendieta, Joan Mitchell, Alice Neel, Louise Nevelson, Yoko Ono, Bridget Riley, Carolee Schneemann, Nancy Spero and Hannah Wilke (list as of Nov. 15, 2001.) Sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography, prints, video and conceptual works will make up this inclusive panorama covering the groundwork laid down by these women.

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 10th from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
